Hi All,
Some other questions as a 'newbie': 1. Are the offsets for 15 x 7" and 15 x 8" Fuchs originally found on 911s and 944s different? 2. If so, are either of these Fuchs not suitable once the 914 receives GT flares? 3. If so, do the Fuchs originally from the 911 or 944 best suit a 914 with flares? Thanks! Craig |

The Rims are the same. I bought a 944 years ago that had fuchs installed and they had 911 on the back side of the rim. The same rims were sold last month for a 914 that had fender flares being put on it. They fit and looked great. The rims were replica Fuchs and we had no ides untill we found the 911 stamp and made in japan on them. I have also swapped a set of Cookie Cutters from my 944 to my 914 to my 911 with no issues. This had more to do with the new set of tires on the rims. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

No 911 vs 944 15" Fuchs, they are all the same. The difference occurs when you go to 16"

15's are 15's. 944 had 16's and yes, those offsets a different.
Problem is, the 911 offset 15x8 can get tight with a standard GT flare. Best to have the wheel tire combo mounted and on the car as you position the flare. A 225 is getting pretty close to rubbing unless you mount the flares out as far as possible, flatten the inside lip and pull them a little. There's some cool pictures of factory cars with the flares yanked quite a bit. Others make a 15x8.5 with the extra 1/2 inch welded to the backside where there is more room on a 914. |

What size spacers are you running? Offset looks nice! [/quote] 2" front, 1/4" rear with 205's and 225's |

Hi Woody, Do you recall where you bought your fron and rear bumpers? FG, yes? Thanks, Dragan The bumpers and flares are from Rennspeed. Fitment could be a little better but they came out well. http://rennspd.com/ModelList.asp?ModID=13 |
