So I was driving back to work today after lunch and I come to T in the road at Rindge and Manhattan Beach Blvd. here in Manhattan Beach. I see a black 914 drive past. Luckily I was headed the same direction and the light changed. I floored it out onto the road in hopes of catching up and luckily the next light was red. Just me luck, I pulled up right beside the black 914 and the lady who was driving it seemed to be utterly shocked. She smiled this huge smile and waved and honked the horn. I did likewise and then made my right turn.
I think there are several 914s in the area. I have seen a silver one around here, another black one that was modified, a red one under reconstruction in someone's driveway, and then this black one. And of course around here there are a zillion other Porshces. Just yesterday I was driving behind a boxster and a 996 pulled out a few cars behind me. Anyway, just thought I'd share. It was a pretty darn cool experience. -Tony |

I caught 2 sightings on TV this week. One was a silver 914 in a Garage where they were redecorating this guys house - can't remember the name of the show but there were several shots of it and what caught my attention is they were removing 914 parts out of the garage at the start of the show. The other sighting was just last night on a show called CCR, CutChopRestore or something like that - they were completely rebuilding modding a pickup truck of some kind but in one scene the host got in his orange 914 with big bumpers and negative lettering, and drove off.. I kept watching but they never showed it again. I did spot a yellow one heading in the opposite direction on the highway the other day but that was the first and only.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Nice meeting both you and Eddie. What an awesome day! Michelle and I took off early (forgot our helmets) and made our own tracks on the way home. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Next time we will be a little better prepared and hang out longer. there is a PCA drivers skills day this Sunday. |

QUOTE Hey Tony, was that the one with the ski rack on it? Didn't notice a ski rack, and it seems like that would have jumped out at me. Only things I had time to notice were the fuchs, and that it was not a 75 or 76, though I didn't look at it closely enough to remember if it had chrome bumpers even. For some reason I have the impression it was a 74. Not sure why. -Tony |

I used to see the chic driving the black one with ski rack on it 2 or 3 times a week on the way to work.
