After 20 years of family mobiles, now with #2 heading off to college and #3 starting to drive soon and running around on her own, it was time to say goodbye to the MDX and go for another flat 4, a turbo one at that.
We still need some occasional family transportation, so enter the '05 Legacy GT wagon (newer would have been nicer, but college and kids driving...). Sweet sleeper of a car, though a wheel repaint is an order. This one has an upgraded up pipe and down pipe, re-tuned ECU, and is pulling in the neighborhood of 275 HP and about 300 lbs of torque, and most of all a 5 speed - no more slugamatic transmissions! She gets up and moves! Has a nice exhaust growl but reminiscent of the 914. Hmmm, engine swap into the 914... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
