Is 40 amps enough? Supposed to cut up to 3/8 inch steel. Eastwood is having a sale.

If it is 40 it might. My Miller will not but it is only a 15 amp.

Damn, what are working on that you need so much? Be sure to use a guide when cutting w/ the plasma units. Old guys with shakey hands (like us) make zig zag cuts in thin materials w/o a guide. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) I'll bet you won't use it 10 times.

40 amp unit cuts up to 1/4 fine. 3/8 is asking a lot but it'll do it.
