Great video. I wish I had half as much control over my car as was exhibited in that video.

Some of the judges seem to be pretty casual about letting a car speed by mere inches from them.

Still, cool driving.

Between this caterham? and the mini video, it certainly raises the bar some! Don't these people have jobs? I would like to see a GT2 run this course. Do you think that entering a gate backwards is required? Let's try that next spring. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

I have got to find out more about what kind of event this is.

Patrick thanks for the tour of your plant and the goodies. I hope you found the sign and are able to get it to Brad.

I'm not sure what I just watched. Look! It's an autocross! No... It's a drifting competition! No... It's a school bus rodeo...with a Lotus? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I don.t understand how they rotate the car so easily.
How do you get a car to slide the rear so much at such low speeds?
They seem to have e-brakes for individual rear tires or some sort of wild brake bias system with a joystick or something.
It would take a 914 as the same amount of time to shift into reverse twice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) as it took this car to finish the course.

Cool driving, but it must be a very specialized setup.

Yup, Gymkanna.

The top picture shows the guy looking over his shoulder. They are required to back into several spots. Sometimes parallel park..

Saw it at a Street Rod event. Lots of fun with tire smoke everywhere! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Thats what i knew as Autocross back in the UK.

The car park their playing is in front of Goodwood house, which is about 40feet away from the famous Goodwood circuit. You know the one from the original GrandPrix movie. Where Steve McQueen was flying around the banking.

They use caterhams & seriously cut-up mini's to run backwards & forwards through extremly tight courses. The marshals have to be up close to check both wheels go into a box & stop. Funnily enough its a very low speed motorsport which is why there's no helmets required.
