I'm retired and done chasing "stuff". I tried it, and it didn't make me happy.
I have a 430$ bicycle off craigslist. If I hit the lottery I would ease the financial pain some of my relatives are going through. One time donation to not build entitlement. Donate to charity. Random acts of kindness. But, you guys have at it! |

Man, my list is shorter.
Cayman R GT3 RS Haulmark Stacker Car Hauler Cayenne Diesel Panamera 4S These are all for me. They would all be in white. The wife a Boxster S. The three college kids, three Audi A3's. Then I would bury myself in my shop. Oh yeah, that would come first. 20,000 sq. ft. 4-5 lifts. Complete Jet Tool machine shop.... the list goes on. Then I'd spend my days restoring the 5 914's that I already have. I figure I have 10 years of full time work the get them done. No Employees ................ Just me, my tunes and my beers. I have this dream every time I buy my $3 Powerball ticket. Twice a week. Cheap entertaiment. |

Some that come to mind are a 904 GTS, 1st gen BMW M3, Renault Alpine, and Ferrari Dino all in white. The M3 is doable today, but I need to be financially responsible. The lotto would help with my guilt of purchasing one today.
Looking at these photos it seems like I like all very similarly shaped cars in the 904, Dino, and the Alpine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

I only have a few that are on my list.
I have a thing for small targas so I would have to add a Fiat X1/9 and Ferrari 308GTSi. I also like the Lotus Europa with the Ford drivetrain. And I also like older BMWs, there are three I want (already had poor examples of 2). I need a mint E21 320i to replace the one I had that rusted away, a mint E24, preferably the M6 to replace the 633CSi that also rusted away (notice a pattern here, the one thing I hate about living in New England) and an E31 850 with 5 speed. |

I don't have a list, just the car I would show up to work to tell them I'm history and that car is a Ford GT.

1974 Dino 246GT
1974 Lamborghini Miura 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400 1974 Maserati Ghibli Spider 1974 Porsche 914 1974 Porsche 911 RS Six cars total. One's in the garage. Just five to go. And here's the thing, I have no particular attachment to the year 1974. It's just for some reason that almost ALL my favorite cars either ended production in 1974, or that 1974 was the pinnacle of the particular model. (In the case of the Countach, I liked 'em best when they looked like a wedge of cheese on wheels -- without all the scoops and doodads.) Oh, and I'd still go to work every day. I like what I do. |

All nice cars, some not to interesting to me mostly because of the fixing them part. I would be happy knowing I will not die till all my projects are completed. 65 daytona kit, speedster kit with a midengine suby, 58 bug pickup with a midengine suby, 4x4 international travelall, 63 jeep j10 with a chevy, needs redoing, my 914 with the suby, my 86 k5 with the ramjet which has been setting three years with a new phoenix 700r4 in the back waiting till the gas goes bad i guess, A two post lift setting out in the weather because I have too much stuff in a pretty big shop to get it in place, a vault door to put in a safe room in my shop.
I have had a coupla nice new hot rods and never really felt right in something I didn't make myself. |
