I can't decide how I want my Fuchs (actually American Eagle) to look. I like the painted background with polished spokes and I like the bare look too. I also like the black center look I've seen on other wheels. Here's a pic of black (gloss black) center and bare. Which one do you like? Any other ideas for painting?

what color is your car??? I've seen some Fuchs that look killer with the background color matched to the car.....all black is okay as is fully polished, but you don't really get the detailed look as with a rim painted with contrasting colors/textures.

I use these for my AX tires. My wife says "pimp mobile" whenever she sees them but I kinda like 'em.

I only like the stock look, which is polished spokes on the textured/fuzzy/rough background.

One of the 914 books I have displays a "CanAm" car with all black fuchs like you have. The paint appears to be a satin finish. I like that look alot. The gloss black is abit too shiny for my tastes. Put one rim of each in a wheel well to help make your decession.

Painted backgrounds are usually on Fake Fuchs to cover the rough casting marks in the background....as the wheels are cast not forged....not saying when properly done it's a bad thing....rumor has it that the fakes polish up better than the real ones anyways.
I redo my five lug Fuchs every year in a different color. I color match the wheels with the graphics on my white 911....the maroons at work think I get another car every year....I just smile.... |
