I was actually waiting to update on tax situation until it was all finalized.

As of right now I have called the DMV and after a bit of haggling got the case passed on to someone else. The new person is way more reasonable and allowing me to send pictures and receipts for parts already purchased.

Persistence with the DMV seems to be key on that one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
