I just cut-n-pasted this info from my PCA Zone 8 info, for those of you out here on the left coast & southwest who may want to attend....

California Festival of Speed

Sponsored by HRE Performance Wheels

and

Porsche of San Diego

Location:

9300 Cherry Ave, Fontana, CA

With the approach of spring you can hear it in the distance; the roar of the engines that can only mean one thing: The Zone 8 California Festival of Speed is almost here! Less than a month away, this is one of the most exciting weekends each year in Zone 8. We have a myriad of things for you to see and do, so don’t miss out.

Special Limited Time Offer: Visit our website, http://ww.calfestival.org and download your free parking coupon. Save $10.00!

Fun Tip:

Get the gang together and organize a caravan to Fontana. Make a driving tour of it! If your region is hosting a breakfast meeting that would be the perfect starting point; come see us at the biggest Porsche event in the southwest.

Put your 911 in the 50 Year Display!

We still need a few year’s worth of 911s to complete this historic display: 1968, 1981 and 2002

Somebody has these cars! Let’s find them and get them into this display. Contact Bruce Herrington: bherrington@telis.org This event is not to be missed!

Call for Volunteers!

The best way to enjoy this fantastic event is to be involved. To volunteer, please contact: volunteer@calfestival.org . We need you! You know club events can’t happen without people to make them happen.

Need to spend the night?

Take advantage of our event hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Rancho Cucamonga, CA 92201, (909) 481-1800. Ask for the PCA rate: $82 per night (call before March 25). Call directly. This rate is not available on any website or via any other phone number.

Wow! That is tough luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Maybe next year they can plan 66 away from that event weekend, since the Speedfest has to book the raceway years in advance AFAIK.
