Well, I got engmans floor board installed today, finished installing morphenspectra's carpet kit today and spiced up my headliner. Now its time for the car to sleep for the winter.

That red line you see on the carpet by the pedals is another carpet, I just threw the new carpet over the old one temporarily. the old carpet had a red trim on the edges. New carpet looks good.

I've never really understood those floorboards. Wouldn't you much rather have it be solid (and .01 lbs heavier) so that you don't get a bunch of dirt and junk down in the pedal assembly?

I suppose a solid one would help to hold out the dirt and crap, but its not that big of a deal for me to pull the board once a year and clean out that area. I did that before I installed this board and I will continue to do that. I usually do that when I pull the rocker panels to clean out underneath them. The pedal board will be covered by carpet which will also help to keep the dirt out of that area. I prefer this board over the press board pedalboard that was in there.

Where do you get pedals like that? The brake and clutch look like standard pedals that have just been chromed. Are they replacements? I've often wondered if anyone made replacements because I'd like a slightly larger pedal face.

They had a group buy on the board here for these pedal sets a couple months ago, I had already had mine before the group buy started. There was a slight problem with the fitting on the back of the accelerator pedal fitting into the accelerator rod. I'm not really sure if that problem was ever solved on the group buy. I had the same problem but I solved it buy cutting out the section off the back of an ole trashed pedal where the ball end of the rod fit into the pedal and fit it to the back of the new pedal on now. It fits like a glove and never gives me any grief.

All of the pedal cups were replaced, I personally tested them all so they should all work now.

Those are replacement sills, they are stainless, I saw a guy on ebay who was making these for the 911 and boxster, etc. I emailed him and asked him if he would think about making some for the 914, he replied and said that he was going to. He did and put them up on ebay like the rest of his SS sills, and when they came up I bought the set for 75.00. They apply with double sided tape that won't harm your paint. He still sells SS sills on ebay but he doesn't make them for the 914 anymore.
I had a couple of small porsche decals that I put in front of the 914,, the 914 part of the sills came like that with the sills |
