I found a near perfect early 6 deep valance and front valance taken off a 6 in the early 80s. I understand the rules but I feel alot of people do not check on ebay for parts.
Early deep 6 rear http://www.ebay.com/itm/140938021912 and front http://www.ebay.com/itm/140937646979 I understand the rules. So if you want buy it now prices 700 for the rear and 500 for the front. Thanks! -Bruce |

Dang (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) ... I've been letting front valances go for way too cheeeeep (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Real -6 valances bring a good price. It hit the ebay reserve of $400. Try to find a good front that has not been curbed. This should go on a really nice car. Bruce |

There is not a BIN price. And the item condition, while nice, is not new.

At this time since both auctions have bidders and the rear has met my low reserve, I will not end either auction. The only fair thing I can do is say bid and you might get it for a good price. I also cannot stress how perfect these parts really are. I took pictures of the only imperfections I could find, besides 2 dings smaller then a finder nail, they are perfect. I would have saved them for myself, buy my project needs an LE front and non deep 6 rear.

Thanks! -Bruce In the thread that you started that is quoted you stated that the buy it now price was $700 for the rear valance. Are you telling me that you are now not willing to honor that price because you have a bid? You had a bid at the time that you posted this thread, so why the change now? I am making the full price offer on an item that you posted for sale in the classified for sale (not ebay) section without any contingency. Fair? This is anything but fair. I am a repeat customer of yours and you were upright on all of our transactions. Help me to understand what is going on here. You posted these items for sale for the members of our 914 community and you listed a price. I have made a full price offer on an item that you listed a price for sale on this site. |

This is why you don't post ebay auction items in here. There is a whole dedicated forum for them.

On the Bird board classifieds, you can reach a mutual agreement with a seller, set up payment terms and shipping arrangements and believe you're done.
Then someone else comes along after the fact, posts that they're willing to pay more, and the agreement you had with the seller apparently becomes null and void. This has happened to me several times over there. Totally unethical in my book, but seems to be the normal way to do business there. |

Well after several email correspondences with this seller. He has again gone back on his word. (see below)
Bruce and Wes, I will harbor no ill feeling toward you guys and hope the best for you but selling out for a few extra bucks is not cool in my opinion. Porsche's are just a hobby for me as it is with many of you out there, It is not my life. Doing right by people is a better way of life. Take care Gentlemen. EMAILS Kenny, If you want both valances, and can come pick them up for a cash transaction I will pull the auction. I dont like creating drama and or pissing people off, Just trying to be fair. -Wes (Kenny) Hello Wes, I do want the rear valance. I certainly am not trying to create drama and I am not upset with either of you. It just did not seem fair the way it was done. I and I believe others felt like the thread said that it was available for the listed prices if we wanted to purchase them. But then after I offered to pay the listed price the rules changed. If I am missing something please know that I am not above being corrected. I am going to assume that you are Bruce's son. I have bought parts from your dad before and he was a cool guy. I do have cash. (Bruce) What is your offer? Bruce (Kenny) Your full listed price of course. $700 (Bruce) Kenny, If you want the rear valance you need to bid on the ebay auction like the others. The current bidder is a good customer and I am not going to offend him. I think that is the only way to be fair to everyone. Bruce (Kenny) Your son whom the parts belong to already said that he would sale me the part and now you are going back on your word. I have never seen anything like this in my life. You created this situation and now it is in your hands to do the right thing. This is not about offending anyone. It is about good ol fashion greed. |
