I have a 1973 2.0 and i cleaned the engine vin off and it only has 2 letters of GA and 6 numbers instead of 7. Any HELP? the numbers seem to fall into what it should be just missing a 0.

I think GA plus six numbers is what it's supposed to have. Here's mine when I first bought the car (hopefully it's a little cleaner now).

The serial number you show is also correct for a 73. The 73 2.0's had serial numbers from GA000001 to GA006765.
