So I'm putting a 2.5L type 4 into my 68 912 with a 911 style upright cooling. I needed some rubber trim to put onto some of the edges of the cooling shroud and cooling tins so I started looking through all my extra 914 stuff when I came across this rubber trim piece. It looks great and fits even better but I don't have enough!
Where can I get more and where was this rubber trim originally used? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/s11.postimg.org-14139-1364706401.1.jpg) Attached thumbnail(s) |

It kinda looks like the trim piece that's on both sides of the "vertical" tin piece that separates the engine case and the transmission. There's about a 9" piece on both sides and doesn't appear to be rubber.

I got some rubber edging like that at my local upholstery shop. They had several sizes. Pegasus Racing may have some too.

I concur, it was used on the engine lid.
