had a great time with some Porsche friends last weekend. Went up VA to drive the Back of the Dragon road from Marion to Tazwell. we rented a cabin in the middle of BFE, but we had a blast.
I've got two video's, this is the first, the second is coming as soon as I get a chance to finish it up. More creative with more 'stuff'. Posted it up on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/naroescapemotorsports While you're there, Like us. I'm trying to get more likes than our mechanic... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This video is from basically halfway South to Marion. The second video will be halfway North to Tazwell...we stayed near the middle.... |

Naro,
Where is the "back of the dragon"? I am retiring to VA in December and will be looking for neat places to drive, and the video looks really cool. Tim |

Back of the Dragon is Highway 16 from Marion to Tazwell, VA. Part 2 will be better. :-)

Isn't it called the Tail of the Dragon?
Either way, it's supposed to be a fun ride. |

Isn't it called the Tail of the Dragon? Tail of the Dragon is at the TN/NC border south of Knoxville. There are several "named" roads around here. "Back of the Dragon" has just recently begun being marketed and is obviously comparing itself to "The Dragon" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

As Steve said, Tail of the Dragon - the original - is on NC/TN border. "Back" of the Dragon is Hwy 16 from Marion to Tazwell, VA. The state of VA recently officially named it and are supposedly promoting it, but I didn't see much about it anywhere. Google Back of the Dragon for details...
almost done with Part 2 of the video... |
