I have a bunch of dash cracks. I want to fix or cover them. I do not like those carpet or felt covers. Are the plastic covers any good? What's a fair price for one? What is involved to put it in? I am worried about it squeaking and rattling.

Any help and hints are appreciated.

I can recover your dash for $150 plus shipping, or you can pay $90 or more for a plastic cap. The caps work best when glued down and they are not all the same. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which one is best untill you have purchased it and had it shipped. I just sold two on ebay and they were not the same. One was thick and obvious, the other was thinner and warped easier when heated (so you needed good glue to use).
