I like Thanksgiving, but Chistmas rocks! Sure holidays are over commercialized, but that's not what's important. In our busy lives, sometimes we need a designated day for us all to take a step back and appreciate all that we have. And we have it good. If you're on the internet, you have it better than the vast majority of the world. So, give some thanks already. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! i don't need a calendar to tell me when it's time to get together with friends and/or family.

i am disgusted by todays "holidays" like x-mas, eastern or thanksgiving.
nothing but a big corporate moneysucking schema ...

just my $0.42 cents,

you asked ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Andy

These holidays are the only times some people get to see each other. These "well-
orchestrated" holidays are great because it is usually easier for everyone to get off work at the same time. The holidays are there to ensure that people have no excuse
not to set aside the (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif) and go see your family or at least make a phone call.

Screw all you people for being from good homes, and having *real* friends!

Hey whats SC like? My wife did some online questionaire to see what city/state best suits her and she came up with Raleigh NC. So did I and our oldest. I think it's an omen.

No, no guilt. I just hate to hear about families that won't speak to each other because of something stupid. Some of my wife's family is that way. It's sickening to hear about it.
I lost my dad when I was 15 and I know the value of family.

I think SC is great. I live at the very bottom tip of the state. SC has everything from
mountains to beaches. It's been in the mid 70's for the past few weeks. It rarely snows
where I'm at. Summers can get hotter than hell sometimes especially with the humidity.
If the temp drops below 30 here, that's DAMN cold for us.

The ocean isn't blue here like it is in NC and FL. It's kinda grayish (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

It's not pollution. It's something to do with the soil. The water gets pretty again near Myrtle Beach.

Thanksgiving has always been an important event for me. Getting together with the whole family and eating my favorite selection of food. I'm reminded every Sunday to be thankful for my blessings, but Thanksgiving day is a great reminder to really take stock.

This year my father-in-law is ill and we're waiting to find out if it's terminal. Other circumstances mean that the big family won't be getting together so we're doing something new for us - having our 3 kids, 2 kids-in-law, and 1 grandson at our house for the traditional feast. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. These guys are my best friends in the world (other than my wife). To have them all together is indeed something to be thankful for and celebrated!

Day off for most, I have a server reload to do today. I cant do it when they are working and this is the only day when I can do it. Should only take me a few hours and it will be nice and quiet.

This one was special. Schedules changed, couldn't get group together on Thurday, but did do it Wednesday night instead. Good time had by all, I learned that tryptophan and merlot combine to form the world's most powerful sleeping medication.

With turkey out of the way, joined the wacko's from PP for Mulholland run. Perfect weather and NO traffic. Then Marianne, Suzi and I went to help feed about 1000 underpriv families in Santa Monica. Damn, that felt good.

Just best Thanksgiving ever, hope yours was close. Hope Ron gets home in one piece.

One especially thankful kid this morning.
