My suburban has an R134 leak. It works fine when I charge it, but after a week, it stops blowing cold.
Anyone ever use those 134 recharge kits that seal leaks? Do they work? I know I need to find and fix the leak, but this is bad timing for me to do that. TIA |

My experience has been that they work ok if your leak meets the right conditions. So of them have a dye that will help you located the leak. If you are leaking due to a seal or compressor failure the results are typically not so good. But if you are just looking to get by it might be worth a try. Some of the others might have more information regarding the long term impacts.

Depends how much of a gusher you have. For now, just top it off, it may buy you a few weeks. It's doubtful you have a bad O'ring, chances are it's the evap coil leaking. UV dye and the special black light flash light will confirm this.
