Got my Christmas git early. They got it at Sams. It should be great for putting the engine in and out.

I feel your pain! My spouse just peeked in and barked at me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) to finish setting up the "dining room" in anticipation of the arrival of today's honored guests.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wish, for my wife's sake, that my mother-in-law COULD show up for Thanksgiving. She died while Betty and I were dating. She and I always got along well, and she was a wonderful woman. I wish that I could have known her better.

I like it. I've seen similar motorcycle lifts, but yours has a regular jack handle, which makes it a lot more usefull
Price is hard to beat too. No brainer!

So I have a question about this.
Will the full engine & transmission balance on this or is the tranny
too heavy and cause tipping?

BTW, they are only $109 at the Sams here in Dallas.

How'd I miss this originally? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif)

It should hold both with no problem (rated at 1500lbs.), and as long as you can determine the CG (which is.....uuhh....help me out here guys (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif) ) of the engine/tranny, it should work perfect!!

I want one...I want one...I want one! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif)

Nice score Larry!!

The center of balance is under the starter drive gear.

I wasn't too concerned about it being strong enough to hold the weight.
I was just wondering if would hold the fully dressed engine & tranny
by just puting the lift supports directly under the bottom of the engine case
without tipping since the CG is just behind the case.

Can you use only the lift directly or do you have to make sort of additional
cradle to keep things from tipping?

I'm seriously thinking of buying one, just want to make sure
it works as easily as I think it will.
