Hi all,

I live in Hawaii on the north shore of Oahu. I have been putting together a six conversion for the last few years.

My 14/6 runs pretty well except that I just can't seem to get the idle smoothed out. It idles ok for a few minutes then drops low and stumbles then comes back. I have been following "my 3.2l idles poorly, hunts, stumbles" threads here and on Pelican and trying one thing and another without success.

I need to find some porsche guys here in Hawaii that can listen,look and talk over the car with me. I have dropped a line to the local PCA pres, but thought I would try here also, as much of the technical info I have needed to build the car came from here.

If anyone knows a porsche head here in Hawaii, please let me know.

Thanks Mark Robinson

Hey don't be so hasty.

If you've got the talent I have the tools and a nice place you can stay out near Wiamea Bay.

best Mark

Mark, I heard back from Charlie in Oahu.
Here's what he had to say;

The guy he should hook up with is Tim Knight at Knightwerks (808) 597-1101, he's the best I've found on Oahu. Have him call to set up an appointment.

If it is engine problems in particular I would recommend going to T-Bug. They re-jetted my webbers and installed my rebuilt transmission. Knightwerks is good for general stuff but T-Bug are better tuners for VW motors.

I'm sending you a PM with Charlis email address.

Hope this helps....

I tried making an internet map to Hawaii, and it keeps giving me a map to LAX..

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I can drive to California, and the Club can take up donations to send me to Hawaii.
