Doesn't sound like true headers. Maybe a bolt to the heater box system.

They aren't headers. It is a 4-1 collector which attaches to your heat exchangers. Much like a Bursch without the muffler portion.
Mike Mueller ordered it thinking the same thing and was surprised with what he got. He asked them to change the description, but apparantly they didn't. Demick |

Just another "tuned exhaust" for the teener. With a quiet muffler, a very silent system that looks pretty but doesn't fit at all without major tweaking (can't imagine what they use for jigs). S and S Headers has been around since at least the 60's, first famous amongst the Stock/Super Stock drag racing contingent; more recently, known among the type 1 crowd for their quiet sound. I visited the company some years ago when they were still in So Cal. The owner had a custom set of tri-y (torque) headers for a big block dualie (Chevy) sitting in his office; the secondary pipes must have been at least three feet long and could only have fit under a crew cab! He swore they were prodigious torque producers but never made it into production. Ron |
