Doing some casual reading about the (butt ugly) Murène bodykit made by the french coachbuilder Henri Heuliez i came across the claim that the Murène was actually build on a pre-production prototype chassis!
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Does anyone have access to the car to possibly verify the VIN? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) As far as i know all prototype shells that were shipped to Porsche were stamped by Porsche with (prototype) VINs on top of the passenger side fender. well, it says, that the car has the Body number 1300005
this is a very early Body number, but has nothing to do with a prototype status the other sentence just says, that the first official 914-6 VIN is 9140430001 - which shouldn't be correct as we know (at least think to know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ), the first official 914-6 VIN is 9140430011 ... |

914.043.0011 and 914.043.0012 have no Karmann numbers or badges.
914.043.0033 is Karmann numbers 130008 |

at least think to know Exactly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) So far the case for #11 as the first official production car has been really weak. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

Not helping i.r. to your question but that design is (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)
I can see some line from the Lancia Stratos, at the small b/w "silver" picture. But the later design, again, is just (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) Did you see the 3 studded wheels? |
