Just got a complete Victor-Reinz gasket set. Lots of goodies in it but it has no documentation telling me what is what. Most of the stuff is obvious but there are somethings I don't remember seeing during the tear down. Any ideas where I might find any reference material?

One thing that has been missing from the last couple sets I've bought is the o-ring "L". Without it you will have an annoying leak that you might think is from the oil cooler seals or front main seal. Dont forget it!. Also, the push rod seals that come with those sets are junk. Get the silicone or viton ones. One tip you might find useful: install the the distrib on its special shaft & washer before closing the case - it will be no fun if you install it afterwards and miss by 1 tooth and have to LIFT AND reposition it, cuz the washer will fall into the case. Finally, if you have you case apart I would suggest tapping and plugging the some of the oil galleys. There are 4 at the back bottom behind the flywheel and 2 at the front next to the oil cooler. Ive had 1 of each of those pop out, and boy does that suck. Oh yeah, 1 last thing- I've heard some saying that its best to not use the head gaskets because they tend to dislodge over time, but I havent tried that myself. good luck
