I need to have my Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio repaired/restored. Can someone recommend someone with experience and a good track record? I would prefer someone in the US but sending it to Germany is OK also.

Thanks!

Greg

There's an outfit/fellow in San Diego that does this sort of work. If you search for Radioman, his website will come up, and he seems to repair these vintage Blaupunkt radios..

I have an old Frankfurt that doesn't work on the AM band anymore, but the FM is fine, and I modified it to be able to play my iPod through, so I haven't had mine repaired. Let us know how your's works out as there are a fair number of these old radios about!

I used D and M restoration to repair and restore my Blaupunkt Radio. They did a good job and it has a one year warranty.

They also repair gauges.

Bill Henn of St. Augustine Florida restored my Motorola Saphire. I found him on the Samba. His email is radiodoc@bellsouth.net

There a guy in Sacramento at a radio restoration shop--DON'T USE. I sent a broken Blaupunkt, and he dicked around forever (over a year), with new excuses every time. He also kept wanting to just gut in and put modern internals in. WTF would I send it to a RESTORATION shop if I wanted that? I finally got a working Becker and told him to keep the Blau.
