I have a VW type engine adapter I used for my Type 4. Will this adapter work okay for a 911 six?

The last engine I just mounted it to the top of my bench with some bolts and some 2x6 on either side of the bench top. Seemed to work okay on the four.

Cheers

NO! The VW engine stand isn't meant to carry that much weight. I know the Porsche yolk is very expensive, maybe you can barrow one from a club member. There is a less expensive ring yolk that can be adapted to most generic stands. You don't want to find a six engine sitting on the floor of your garage one morning...

I'll keep an eye out for the right adapter.. I am going to harbor freight this week to see their engine stands and see if they will work.
