Did you figure her birthday out from the Chassis # on the Karmann tag to be exactly 6/20/13? Chassis #: XXY95ZZ XX = week of year in which built (count a week even if 1 day on Jan 1) Y = Day of week M-F = 1-5 ZZ = # of 914s built that day (if 95 is 96 - then add 100) My `73 2.0 L80E is a bit older - 8/31/72, and oddly enough with an 8/72 VIN sticker date - so perhaps the fastest 914 ever built - one day! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Congratz on almost a year of fun (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) & many more! |

My Chassis number is 2659556 that puts her DOB as Friday, June 29th 1973 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) (if I'm decoding that correctly). Sounds like a good reason to have a party.. It got me wondering about my car .... Doing the math, it seems my car is two days older than yours, which means my car is 40 today! It would have slipped right past me if you hadn't posted about your car. Also, thanks Tom for supplying the secret decoder ring (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
