I ordered a complete victor reinz gasket set for my 2056 build and just want to make sure what I have is the proper thing to use.

The push rod tube seals, one end is green the other is black.

Are theses the good vitron seals or do I need to source something else?

Green is "usually" Vitron , hard to say about the black.

How can you tell for sure? Reputation of the supplier. Just bought a set in black in bag tagged vitron. Vender swears color doesn't make a difference. Vitron also is black. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

"Vitron"? Most folks call it "viton". Maybe the "r" is silent? The first viton seals we got were brown, newer versions are likely green and black. Be SURE you use the correct outer seals. There are 2 sizes, one for very early engines, one for all the rest.

Hmm. I ordered seals through Pelican. The first set, before I knew about Viton was green and black, but was supposed to be standard rubber. I just got another set, which was supposed to be Viton, and they're brown.

On Fords, Viton is *usually* green. But that's no guarantee.
