On the 72 Transmission (Tail Shifter), is it possible to change out the Shifter Shaft
Seal without taking the back cover off the transmission? Thought I would ask the question before I jumped into it. The Factory Manuals show it being done with the Rear Cover off the case. You can remove the access panel on the bottom and get to the roll pin, but it seems like there might be more to it.....

Have changed out plenty of 73-on Seals over the years, but never a early type.

Thanks!
