Engine number: EC006464
Engine was acquired with project, already out of car. It was sold to me as a complete engine that ran well. I have not verified that from my own experience, but it was sold by someone who was knowledgable/significant experience of cars/engines and 914s. I have confirmed with him since the sale that it was mechanically sound. I can turn the clutch or fan all the way around: it requires a firm twist but it is a smooth mechanism. Does this mean anything? No leak down unfortunately.

Engine currently has a Sachs clutch (dated 5 7 87 ....see pics).

The exhaust looks to be toasted (see pic).

$400 complete. price dropped

Also, if anyone needs a part or parts from a 1.8, I will also try to move this along by selling parts a la carte.

Shawn

with a price drop. If that does not make a sale, I may just take it apart and try to sell parts individually. Let me know anything of interest.
Cheers,
Shawn

Supply and demand.
If this was a 3.0, 3.2 /6 that was sitting in the corner of a garage with less info and more dust, would anyone be too surprised to see "$4,500.00 obo".
Supply and demand, and evidently unproven 1.8 engines are, uh, not in demand.
$400 obo...

Interested. Can you pallet and help get it to the point it can be shipped? Or is this local pickup only?

Selling it as it is may be your best option.

Heads and case worth almost nothing. They are all over.
I just have one away.
I have a set of heads that I advertise here for months, no takers . Still sitting at my garage.

Rob-O
For this, local pickup is preferred. I will edit the ad.
Partly due to shipping likely $300-$400 range...., plus my cost to properly prepare.

Thanks Shawn. I'm really interested in all the L Jet parts. If you part it, please let me know, I'd like to be first in line for the injection stuff.

Do you still have this? Had a fire this weekend in my 1975 with a 1.8 and I need various soft parts, wires and boots to repair or replace my harness. Note I am relatively local and could come pull what I need.

thanks,
Mike
