I better get my cholesterol checked first, that is some serious food.

It's a busy weekend, but I might be able to make it.

Sounds like a plan, I'll try to remember it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Last two weeks of school has sucked. Teachers shouldn't miss 4-5 days EACH of class and try to cram it all in the last week. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif)

Sunday is the 12th.

How many liters of those fine looking frosty's do you and Qarl plan to consume, He's German so He may have a tolerance for many Hofbrews. Take a cab home.

I saw this post and nearly fell out of my chair. Hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas???!!!!

I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but I'm sure that place will make some $$$$.

I guess it makes sense because in Munich you can always find more Americans in that place than anywhere else.................but they also serve Coors????

Have fun and pound a couple Dunkels for me!!

Actually, I doubt they will stay in business very long unless their overhead is low. It's right next to the local university, but lunch ran us $30 each last week, which puts it out of reach of most students. It is pretty cool inside though, very authentic.

I had a great time meeting Karl today. It was a beautiful 70 degree sunny day so we took the long way to get to the Hofbrauhaus. We met up with Chris and his Nissan powered teener in the parking lot. If your ears were burning it was because we were talking about all of you 914Clubbers and we enjoyed our lunch.

Before somebody says (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thisthreadisworthlesswithoutpics.gif) Here they are.

Q: What do you do when you first meet another club member?
A: You tell him to "open it up" and start looking around.

Sorry I missed you guys, I can assure you it would have been much more enjoyable than writing about Aristotle's hypothetical opinion of Plato's dialogues.

Actually, I should have went, at least it would have been a productive use of my time.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Hope you had fun.

Sorry you couldn't make it Steve.

Sorry I missed you guys, I can assure you it would have been much more enjoyable than writing about Aristotle's hypothetical opinion of Plato's dialogues.

If I would have know that was your excuse I would have posted this sooner.

In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was well known for his wisdom. One day the great philosopher came upon an acquaintance who said excitedly, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about one of your students?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied. "Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."

"Triple filter?"

"That's right," Socrates continued "Before you talk to me about my student, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're going to say.

The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and ..."

"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my student something good?"

"No, on the contrary ..."

"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, because there's one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my student going to be useful to me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?"

This is why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.

It also explains why he never found out that Plato was banging his wife.

Chris, VegasRacer....

Thanks for the hospitality. Great suggestion for lunch.

I had a beer (which is unusual for me).

Neat bunch of cars.... 3.0L Six and Nissan powered sleeper (looks like a sleeper, but it has a cool surprise under the engine lid).

I agree for the hats.

We almost bought one for Zois as his 2005 autocross helmet!
