Anyone have a oil tank hose diagram? My fax is 215-222-0789 or e-mail me at kerrys914@yahoo.com

Also what size hose is everyone running for each hose? AN-12 or AN-16. The PO of my tank put what looks like AN fittings on the bottom two OEM fittings.

I am thinking of getting my AN fittings through Summit. They seem to have okay prices and selections.

I think I will try the threaded 90 deg fitting into the 911 oil cooler if this will work on the early style too.

I am also thinking about replacing the cam oil feed banjo hoses with new hoses and AN fittings. Has anyone done this?

Cheers

The bottom ( lowest ) fitting in the oil tank is the supply to the engine. It is gravity fed so it shoild be an AN -16. The only other fitting on the tank is the oil return from the oil coolers and it is pressurized and can be an AN -12.

I don't recall which oil tank you are using, but you can use Braided AN lines & fittings on the scavenge side......but...
You will need an adaptor fitting, metric to AN at the sump and
at the tank if it is the stocker. I got both from Otto's. IIRC they were about 40 bucks each. I then used a 90 deg AN fitting at the sump and ran it to the rear, looped the hose around 180 deg so it is facing fwd. That gets it out of the way of all the stuff in that area.

Your oil feed lines at the cam towers are best left stock. New bits are available if yours are toast.

It is (IMO) very important to use rubber mounts at the mounting points of the oil tank and at the bottom intake fitting.
The lower fitting is used to keep the bottom of the tank from flopping around.

I have some pics of my set up if you have the need.

I believe Kerry is using a factory tank. If that is the case Kerry, you can buy an oil line from a 70' 911(pressure one), should be around $65 or so. It is the long line. It will screw rigth into your tank and right into the bottom of the 2.2 you have. no mods needed. Just bolts on, done! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'll take some photo's of the fittings. They appear to be AN and not OEM???

One of my oil feed lines looks spent. It has a goyder (sp) and is oil soaked 24/7. Are the usual parts guys the best to get this hose/part?

Cheers

I was unaware of the 70 911 line being a bolt up. That's good news.
The only downside of using such a line is that if , at some point, you want to add an oil cooler you have to start all over again with that line.

Hmm, that oil line I was talking about is 90110733112 and is NLA from my parts supplier. They suck. Dang, that was like the easiest way to do the pressure line. Factory part, $65 or so price and fit like a glove. Bummer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
