klr650.net, cr1100xx.org & benzworld.org

only sites i've found that come close to offering the community & support that i found here 1st. the world is the metric by which all other vehicle forums are now judged.

given my prediliction for decrepit old vehicles (or are these all i'll ever be able to afford?) , i NEED sites like these!

Here is a fantastic site to see some the the best Porsche Racing car restorations...underway and completed. Kevin Jeanette and his team are highly regarded by Porsche AG and Porsche Racing enthusiasts everywhere. You will learn a lot by looking at these projects and the techniques/processes they use!

www.jalopyjournal.com (For my 1936 Ford) Also refered to as HAMB.
www.benzworld.org ( just for my 1966 Mercedes) Lots of traffic and postings in the vintage benz forum.
www.mbca.org (Mercedes)

does craigslist count. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Always seem to be looking for an interesting car.

There are others, just not someplace I go to daily. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For Porsche content, only here.

I'd never seen that site before..incredible stuff. I love 917s and enjoyed watching the restoration of 021 which was bought from the Rosso Bianco Museum in Aschaffenburg, Germany. I remember seeing it in the museum itself before it was closed...glad to see it in good hands.

...although it's a bit of a shame for us Euros that so many 917s make their way over the pond to you guys...ha, wait for the abuse!!!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

recently looked thru some subaru forums. they were arguing about octane level requirements. for my car the fact requires regular. they mostly stated how their cars all get premium. looong drawn out replies explaining the whole combustion process. ethanol, where they buy their fuel. not so much fun. commercial ad, ad, ad....not so much fun.

Club NARP plans 2 of the best 914 events each year. The Route 66 and The Red Rock Classic. Good people and most of them post here also.
