Well don't hold your breath, there is a year waiting list. Maybe longer.

Sure would make a good hill climb car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Imagine it with a 350 HP turbo 2.5 liter, pushing 1800 pounds.

Think "Chappy"... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Factory Five can make some extra money selling Subie cable shifter kits for those doing 914-baru conversions.

Very cool car...would be fun to have one as a dedicated track car. Likely too crude to be much fun on the street (after the novelty wears off!).

Saw a video last week that put an 818 against a Viper. The viper won, but not by mucy.

Drag race only, my guess is that the Viper would run away from the 818.

for you Subie guys, is the stock WRX suspension workable on a mid-engined car or does it need some help?

It works in the 818, so yes, I guess. Maybe I didn't understand the question. But we have pretty good suspension in our cars, so not sure there's much to be gained. The 818 is 300 lbs lighter than my car, and that seems to be the most significant difference. Well, and the 914 looks more homely.
