I'll start:
My first car...1969 Datsun 2000. Bought non-running for $300 in 1978 and sold for $750 in 1979 My first NEW vehicle...1985 Chevrolet S-10 with 2.5L four. The only option it had was a/c and AM/FM radio.. No power anything, vinyl bench and floor, Stripped down truck but it was mine. I LOVED that truck. Traded it in on the Buick because my g/f (later my first ex-wife) wanted me to have a car. 1987 1/2 Buick Grand National - One of the last 50 built and I ordered it with every option. Paid $17K...drove it 10K miles in 10 months and sold it for $18K 1967 AH 3000 MKIII ph. 2 - Bought in 1988 for $5500 with new engine. Sold for $10K in 1990 and thought I was king of the world. Now I look like a dumba$$ 1996 Porsche 993 C4S...bought in 2003 for $42K. Sold it a year later for $43K |

If I would have just held onto and only driven my 74 Honda civic hatchback I'd be money way ahead. It would have 7 digits for miles, but hey...Hondas run forever right?
Seriously though, the only contender I my book would have been a late 60s bug. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

This is kind of on topic, I've been pondering this for quite some time now, I have a BMW E30 M3 and I've used it as a daily driver and tracked it a little.. It's been the best car I've owned but it now has 170,000 on the clock and will need some paint.. All the magazines say its the cats meow and it will be worth a bundle soon but I've heard this for quite some time now and they hover around 12-20k.. There are 5 thousand to America so you don't see many driving around. I could use a dose of money for my 914-6 project and kart racing.. So keep or sell? I sure. have trouble with this...

My first 914 was a '74 Delphi green 2.0. Bought it for $1800 in great condition and drove it around for 2 years before selling it for 2x what I bought it for. $3600 is cheap, I assume, for that car these days...live and learn, I won't let my current 914 go for so cheap!
