What are the mathematical top speeds for a 901 with a stock 1st and 2nd gear, and an M 3rd and S 4th, and stock 5th gear? Redline is 7200 rpm. Let's say the tires are 205/50 16.

Do a search here, someone posted a interactive spreadsheet that will give you your answer. I have it at home but i'm at work right now ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

Unless it has lots of motor, it won't hit 7,200 RPM. Max speed will probably be around 150 before it has too much drag. Theoretically 164 with a ZD 5th.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) 2432 Raby with 225HP and over 200lb/ft of torque. Buyer of the transmission is most concerned with the S 4th gear top speed... |

Yes, no way that brick will get to 7200rpm in 5th gear. 4th is the guys question. Using my guess on the tires he will use, 104mph is the mathematical TS. I'd guess a real 85-95? |

I bet it would redline an S 4th with no problem. I was able to get over 6k rpm with an S 4th and a dead 2.7 six.
