I am on the hunt for a clean, no paint overspray fresh air box....

For a 1970

Are early and later...or for that matter...are ALL boxes the same.

I do know that later ones...eg....74s....had a rubber gasket installed, that fit at the top of the box, to press against the cowl. Don't know if that gasket caused and sizing differences, would doubt it and would expect it just caused minor adjustment difference.

Apart from existence of the gasket....any other differences....?

Thanks

Paul

The E-engine holder is made of metal at early ones later one are made of plastic
The electrical wiring between early and later ones are a bit different
The on top seal is all the same but at one time they changed it to a seal
with a foliage grid

Hope that helps

Take a look at 10:35 in the first vid.

Sorry it is in German but you can hear the difference

The seal kit is from Mark (Mickey914 / 914rubber.com)

So Mark sells the complete seal kit? does it include the foam between metal 'butterfly' flaps?
