I need new taillight lens for my 914-6 restoration, and have discovered that new lenses are NLA from Porsche. Can anyone offer any feedback on the repros that are offered for sale? Do they all come from the same source, or is there any difference between the various vendors? Thanks

You can find new ones on Ebay but you will pay big time.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OE-Genuine-Porsche...78b&vxp=mtr Patrick Motor Sports has new Hella ones. http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/manufacturer/hella/ So does Automotion: http://www.automotion.com/taillight-lens-e...-1970-1976.html I got reproductions from AA for $200 and they had free shipping when I bought them. The fit is not perfect but I am satisfied. http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-Taillig...1463195110.html http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-Usa-Red...1463193940.html Attached thumbnail(s) |

Thanks. Are the AA lenses the only repros available, or do any other vendors have their own product?

I think pelican has the US and the euro style tail light lenses. I'm looking for a good source for the euro ones- I don't like the fit of the AA ones for the price

We do have the hellas available, at a higher price than the repros of course. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hide.gif)

Has anyone looked at the complete tail light housing with lens from SMC?
https://sierramadrecollection.com/Complete-...-76-p54895.html I wonder how these fit? Its getting hard to find good housings as well that haven't split and cracked from the lamp heat, in my experience. |
