(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) New here, hence "newbie" tag I have a new to me 1972 914 1.7 with the upgraded tranny that has the side shift I want an nice tight shift out o the gate and not the classic Porsche slop around shifting that will remind me of my old 356A. What is the best (i know subjective but help me out) shifter upgrade to go to the short throw smooth precise shifting I desire????? rensport??? revo??? i dont know??? please help me decide on where to go from here. you guys have the knowledge I only have the desire to learn thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

First, do lots of searching here. Then, make sure all is correct in your linkage, and in your transmission. Then, seek to refine what you are left with after all of the aforementioned has been addressed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

some will say to replace all your worn/sloppy bushings first and see where you stand then.
