here are pics of 2 I just found on ebay and the third pic is of a shaft with an alternate 2nd gear welded on, I assume this was a stock mainshaft that was machined?

for those that have been curious about this much talked about shaft.

There are two shafts like that, one is a sportomatic and not useful to us, the other is a 904 shaft which is about $1800 and requires expensive gears to use. The welded was a way someone decided to get around the cost of finding/buying the factory part.

Here is the shorter, not useable in your set up, removable 2nd gear, sporto shaft for comparison. Dont buy this thinking you will get the other.
