While overhauling my ignition system today I discovered a .47 microfarad capacitor that was attached to the ignition coil bracket. The wire going to it had been snipped and removed by the PO. Anyone know what this cap is for?

Usually part of an attempt to reduce radio interference caused by the ignition system.
