Yes, I've been working on these for awhile. The fist ones were copies of the best I could find, and not as good as OEM, I made then as cast molds using catalyzed rubber. Sometimes it didn't flow all the way as the pressure required to make these meant that I wound up throwing out about 1/2 of the ones I made. I cheated the formulation to make it flow better and found that didn't work as well.

The only choice was aluminum tooling. It can take the pressure and allow for using a compound that flows and and looks correct.

Well I finally did it. I actually improved the little skinny part on the back edge of the seal so that it actually fills the little void in the indentation on the inside of the door. This is something the OEM current version does, but it's a little loose.

So below is a picture of the OEM and one of my seals. Guess which one is mine.

I'm posting in larger files so you can zoom in on the details.

This is one of the big projects I've been trying to get off my plate for about 18 months.

Mark just got around to ordering the last couple of offerings off your great web-site including the window triangles. I don't know how you find the time to get all these great pieces designed & made to offer; I can't keep up with you! But please don't stop.

Thanks, more cool stuff on the way. I've been a little sidetracked with 356 and 911 stuff, but there still are more 914 things that need made.

about 24 hrs left on this one.
