however interestingly enough we have a local talent, and my builder, that did back to back tests with a locked diff in a -4 cylinder car the car was 2 seconds a lap faster with the locked differential Very interesting ... was the comparison done with an open diff or a limited slip? |

Carquip used to have a post with all the factory gearboxes built for specific tracks.
I cannot easily find it, but if you email him, I know he has a Sebring chart for a four cylinder motor.....as the factory built them for racing..or at least suggested for them to be built. In the meantime, there is some decent data here. http://www.carquip.com/getgeared.shtml |
