Went over to Marvs house today to see how his 3.2 stacks up to the few 3.6 liter six cars that I have driven in the past and man let me tell you his car would easilly walk about a car length away from the last 3.6 that I drove in a 1/4 drage race! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) No there was nothing wrong with the 3.6 that I drove ,its just that Marvs car has some bolt on mods such mass air flow and ecu chip, headers ,striped chassis e.t.c. e.t.c. What can I say I was very impreesed ,not to mention sold on the wevo billet 915 shifter. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)

It is always amazing how a car is set up that seems to make all the difference. I know someone with a carb'd 2.7 914-6 and said he was not inpressed with a 3.2 914-6 he rode in. It didn't take long to figure it out either. His 2.7 is cranking out 218 hp at the wheels and the 3.2 was stock hp. Probably lots of other things come into play. But yeah, I like to ride in as many 914-6's as possible. Someone's 2.4 can cream another persons 2.7 etc.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Yeah I know what you are talking about Dan , I mean hell look at the original 914-6 GTs and 911R that the factory and private race teams built back in 60s and 70s squeezing 220hp out of a 2.0 with twin ignition.....simply awesome! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Hey Shawn, put me on the schedule for the rust repair we spoke about.

I will arrange to have the engine pulled...it might be time for a few mods I have been waiting to do, such as: match flow injectors, big bore throttle body, extrude hone intake system, carbon fiber fan shroud, oh yeah..possible clutch repair.

Also while its out I am tempted to: upgrade piston & cyls to 100mm for 3.5 liter, change heads to 3.6 heads, twin plug dist. I have as friends a couple of seasoned 911 hot rodders, hmm...... I seem to have a sickness for this type of stuff, I go from thinking about selling the car (upgrade to 930) to thinking about dumping more ca$h in it.

Guys am I sick? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)
