Mine has a carb, but its not a serious as those..

Most of those guys run some sort of FI, I want to put CIS on the old Willys someday.

that's... amazing. i remember seeing hans "no way" ray easily scale a vertical 6-foot wall with his bike, but the guy in the jeep has some guts!

most of these guys run fi butI know of a few that have conveted to propane. Even with Fi if you get at too steep an angle your fuel pickup fails. With propane thats damn near impossible.

A good baffled tank and high pressure fuel system gives you minutes before you lose the motor, I've never lost my motor to starvation - admittedly I don't compete in my rig but I run it pretty hard. Propane is sweet, but filling it is a bitch and now that it's more expensive than gas for generally less ponies.

A number of folks have also done dry sump (or an accumulator, which is quantumly easier), you have the same problems with oil pickup as fuel so they'll use a side oiler just to keep things lubricated.
