914-6 GT Cap And Rotor
I don't know if it is really worth 1800.00. But if it is, then someone needs to buy it and make copies. |

There is guy making the rotors just finished the first ones. He is on the bird board. (I think thats what you call it)
Same guy had the 600 dollar gas cap and neck. Just like Real Estate , What ever the market will Bear. I got that phrase from a guy selling a rusty 914-6 in Seattle 10years ago. The bigger problem is I need the distributor. Original not an adapter. Armando's a nice guy that sturff is made of unobtanium. |

IIRC.. the GT distributor is a standard Marelli unit with a different cap and rotor to accomodate the dual ignition. I think all they did was to add a second set of points to it.
But then again, I could be wrong. |

That question had scam written all over it.
Who is going to offer to pay $305 more for something that is not going to sell in the first place?? I thought a Ferarri V-12 cap/rotor could be modified to work. They're still stupid pricey though... but not THAT stupid pricey. |

The guy is totally legit. His name is Armando Serrano. He is building the ultimate of ultimate 914-6GTs. He has more than $100K into his car.
He has scoured the planet for REAL, authentic, new, NOS, and rare parts. The cost for the Marelli twin plug distributor is accurate... IF YOU CAN FIND A NEW ONE. If he can't find the part he needs, he has them duplicated better than factory new. He sells them for what they are worth. There ARE people paying this for these parts.... just not YOU CHEAPSKATES! Oh and his response was to some offshore scammer. I am sure they bug him like the plaque. Check out his site... http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/my_9146_gt_project |

I brush like crazy, but I can't seem to get rid of all that plaque either. Doesn't really bother me that much, though. Now the plague on the other hand, THAT would suck. I'm sure that would bother me.
