WOW, the Porsche Classic Club Austria (PCCA) printed my article about the 916 in the last issue of their Club magazine "Faszination" - and I'm NO MEMBER!
I've been in contact with some guys of them, but - except their 914-registry-man - they gave me that feeling of "o.k., we actually know that the 914 belongs to the Porsche family, but don't say this too loud!" When their 914-representitive told me that they've a club mag and if I'd help him to write an article I agreed and wrote that story about the 916. I've heard nothing more for at least 1 and a half year, so I thought they didn'd like it. But hey, these days in my postbox: the club mag with my articl - fully colored, high glossy, really professionally look (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Believe me - I'm a little proud now (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif) Gustl Attached thumbnail(s) |

O.k. guys, but I bet you didn't know what you are asking me for (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
Now there's no return - I get wasting server space (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) What you'll need to know: There are red marked passages at the beginning and the end of the story, which means that these PCCA guys added / changed my original text, because the were afraid that a very well known club member would feel pissed off. The 914-6 race car belongs to him and he claimed that's an original 916 - but it's definetly a well done conversion. I wrote about this fake and so the had to modify it. It would have had a curious look, if they print bad stories in their own club magazine about their highly esteemed colleague (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chairfall.gif) well then, enjoy it: Attached thumbnail(s) |

but please don't ask me for the translation - this would take a couple of hours for me (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif)
I bet Andy could provide a much better translation within a tenth of time (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) Gustl |
