I was trying to find out what I have to do to register the Banana. So I got in contact with the DMV I need to get 2 apraisals from dealers take out an insurance bond take this plus the vin to the tax office pay about $250 to get a title only. Then once I have this we start over to get the tags. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) For that I need to get state inspection and pass emisions test and on and on it goes. At each point along the way some one wants some coin. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/flipa.gif) Excuse me I only paid $400 for this thing why would I spend more than I paid just to drive it? I feel like working on the racer and forgetting about the Banana some times. Or sell it all and buy a new boxter or Mustang and not have the headach with the home owners asoc. and the state (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

Yeah, too bad you couldn't title, register the car to a 914clubber in another state, then "buy" the 914 again. Hell, I would do it for you, but out of state cars require inspections......do all states require that? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)

I got it as a typical parts car. No title just bill of sale. Then I got to thinking it aint so bad fix it put the 928 engine into it and drive it. Ill see how it goes its just sticker shock from the state now. If I fit in the Alien when I go up to Duluth to get my parts at the end of the month Ill bite the bullet and do it, if not I do PLAN-9 now and the Banana later as a AX car for the kids.

These people will take care of you. I've used them on motorcycles and it worked great. No hassle at all. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

Have posted about these guys before but there service works great. I have used them for my 914 and my 67 VW Bus. Both purchased w/o titles and I now have titles to both.
