Ok, all you Can Am/Limited Edition 914 enthusiasts.... this is the gathering you have been waiting for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif)

OK, I have a '76 that someone disguised as a creamsicle. Will I be jeered and scoffed at? If I leave after giving a midterm I should be back for the next class, so the schedule actually works.

If you insist, I will personally scoff at your "Dreamsicle" in your presence.

Why no Autocross this year?

If you can't coordinate one with the local region, how about a blind autocross?

Simple course. Start finish gate and a 3 or 4 cone slalom. Slalom down the course, turn around and come back.

Here's the twist. You have to do it while blindfolded. You get a passenger who tells you when and where to turn.

Sound easy, doesn't it?

We did this for a few years at the MUSR events. Once everyone got started, they loved it. And it only takes a small parking lot, 5 cones, and a stopwatch (the times are not close enough for anything but a stopwatch). Plus some "Peril Sensitive Sunglasses" to use as a blindfold.

First time we did this, we were all laughing so hard it hurt.

A Blind Autocross is a lot of fun but we simply don't have the time in the schedule. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

As far as no regular autocross, very few took advantage of the autocross we had arranged with the local PCA Region last fall so we scrapped the idea this year.

Hey! We're back in town... (those of you that follow our NaroEscape Motorsports Facebook page know where we've been the past week!!)

As Steve said...last year we only had 5 of us run the autocross....and three were Steve, Nadine and I!!

Blind autocross would be fun! But...realistically there is no parking lot anywhere nearby to do it in. Townsend is REALLY out in the middle of nowhere....And it would have to be Sunday.

Sunday morning would be fine with me. And a medium sized parking lot is fine. IF the hotel has one, we could do it there.

I even have the "Peril Sensitive Sunglasses" I can bring.

Registration was brisk for the first week or so, then died down...
I know we have way more rooms reserved at the hotel than registrants.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

As a little update, we currently have 22 sponsors lined up for this event. They have committed to providing over $1000 in gift certificates, premium items like a custom gauge light set from Tim, calipers from PMB, one of Original Customs trick non-leaking spedo drives, Restoration Design is making us some detailed key fobs, and there will be a ton of stuff from 914 Rubber.com, 914 Limited, Maddogs Motor Sports, BDR, Dave Sprinkle, Bruce Stone, and others. Not to overlook that Dr. Evil has offered up free labor on a tranny rebuild.

And there are a number of additional sponsors in the works. This is a great event and the potential to walk away with some truly significant prizes is amazing. So if you were on the fence, just think what your response would be if you walked away with a $500 gift certificate from LN Engineering /Type IV Store? That new engine could be closer than you think.

Sign up so we can keep growing this into the premier 914 event in the country.

"ugly" is one of the nicest looking 914's I know...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Yes, it's been way too long since we've had both cars together. Hopefully in the next couple weeks, Huey will be back together and we can at least get the girls and go for a ride somewhere.

Get your registration in!! You can pay when you see me at some point...
