We officially have over 50 registrants. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
Currently, 35 914s will be at Okteenerfest. Will yours be one of them? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

We are only THREE registrants away from hitting the magical 50 mark (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
As Bob mentioned in a previous post, we will have a drawing for a FREE Okteenerfest 2015 registration with 50+ registrants. At 60+, we will have TWO drawings.

Five weeks to go. What are ya waiting for? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I have to go to Knoxville tomorrow, can I run the Route on the way back to Florida & count as a Non-Paying Non-Participant?

The host hotel is booked full.
Hope the few people who already had a room before we booked the place for Okteenerfest enjoy the show (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Not sure on room availability in Townsend but try these places:
• Best Western Cades Cove 865-448-9000
• Tremont Lodge & Resort 865-448-3200 (formerly Valley View Lodge - site of last year's event)
• Headrick's River Breeze Motel 1-800-879-0047, (865) 448-2389

Lodging in nearby Gatlinburg, Wears Valley, and Pigeon Forge should be plentiful.

If you are trailering your car, there is plenty of trailer parking at the host hotel whether you stay there or not.

If you are trailering your car, I am going to ridicule you unmercifully, because we are DRIVING two 914s all the way from Texas.

HOLY CRAP 914 Central!

OK I did not see this coming. Looks like 914 Central put into play a truly amazing prize.

Wait for it!

From Germany!

Attached Image

I think most of us would give a major appendage for these.

A truly special thanks to Carrie at 914 Central. Amazing!

Already back in Florida - I got to Knoxville at 1:30pm Saturday & was on the way home by 3:30. 8 1/2 Hours back to Tampa (80MPH most of the way except when it was Raining)

Man those GPR guys know how to get you what you need. Brian sent some complete oil change kits. With Brad Penn oil, filter, crush washer, and even a set of valve cover gaskets so you can set your valve clearance. A complete package!

Clay and Betty you both may need these after your drive!

Doesn't work on my six, and we use Valvoline oil. Plus, we always carry spare valve cover gaskets for her car on long trips.

OK! I got my brother to hitchhike in from California on a different weekend. Looking forward to spending a little "teener time". Any alternative crash sites besides Tally? Both lodging sites they recommended were booked. Brad Mayeur (& Paula)

Glad to see you will make it to Okteenerfest, Brad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)
You probably tried these already but just in case...
• Best Western Cades Cove 865-448-9000
• Tremont Lodge & Resort 865-448-3200 (formerly Valley View Lodge - site of last year's event)
• Headrick's River Breeze Motel 1-800-879-0047, (865) 448-2389

Cabin rental in Wears Valley would be next closest. After that, try a place in Gatlinburg. Pigeon Forge is having a HUGE southern gospel convention so may be tougher to find a nice place.

OK everyone, if you are on the fence and thinking of signing up, you have 1 week to sign up if you want one of the cool and stylish Okteenerfest T-shirts!! September 10 is the LAST DAY until we have to get the shirt count in, so get to it, sign up (and PAY please!!) by SEPTEMBER 10!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

Just think how uncool you will be without the T-Shirt!

"Yeah, been there, done that...but DIDN'T get the T-Shirt" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Time is running out! Just take a look at the exceptional items Chris Foley of Tangerine Racing has sent.

First, one of his new Type 4 engine oil pressure relief assemblies. This easy drop in assembly replaces the 40 year old spring that may be robbing your engine of oil pressure. It eliminates the stock crankcase oil cooler bypass circuit directing more oil to the parts that need it and can raise peak operating pressure to 70 psi.

Attached Image

I am installing the one I purchased from him on my car this weekend. I can give you a complete report at Okteenerfest.

Chris also sent one of his new hand throttle kits that work just like the hand throttle on the 914-6. This will work on carbed or FI 4-cylinders. This is a very well made item that will be very handy in cold weather.

Attached Image

Either of these items would be a great addition to your 914.

I like how even the photos of Chris' items have a "tangerine" tint to them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

Maybe you have been scoping some needed parts for your 914 but are finding it hard to let your cash go? Well our friend Jon Freismidl at EBS Racing has sent along a $100 gift certificate to help you pull the trigger on that purchase.

So register and use this to make sure you hit your target on the first shot!

We are now at 60 people registered representing 40+ 914s (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Less than three weeks to go. Will you be in your 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) some twisted roads or on your computer looking at live feed photos (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) wishing you had gone?
