I have received shirt orders from budk, cjgb914, Michael N, and tumamilhem

Anyone else before shirt count is finalized?

Well Matk at 914 Rubber knows how to make people happy. Just look at the stash of goodies he sent for everyone. Turn light seals, fender to cowl seals, mirror gaskets, door light seals, rear sway bar bushings, trunk lock gasket, and hand throttle.

Most of us could use a few of these! Thanks Mark!

I've only been an active 914 owner and member here for 5 years and during that time have met just 7-8 other members when i went to one of the evil's tranny clinics at Scotty B's-, so meeting and putting a face to the screen name of 70+ others will be pretty cool. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

btw- what are the must have's for such a trip?
- tools?
- spare parts?

I always have a basic set of tools. Oil is a must. I like having a spare cables (clutch and accel). I will have a set of late front wheel bearings, fuel injector, fuel filter, alternator belt, spare MPS, fuel hose, clamps, zip ties, fuses, and a few electrical items.

Make sure your spare is in good shape and carry a can of fix a flat.

I will certainly have a spare clutch cable... (plus the one I owe Ken!) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) and throttle cable

Mike had posted a pretty good list earlier:
QUOTE(Mblizzard @ Aug 18 2014, 11:58 AM) *

Well what to bring? Here is what I am planning to bring. Will add to it as I think of more things.

General Items:
Chairs / blanket
Car cleaning stuff
First aid kit
Sun screen
Camera

Car Items
Extra oil
Minor set of tools
Extra clutch cable
Accelerator cable
Spare Injector if FI
Good spare tire
Spare fuses
Jumper cables
Car cover
Assortment of standard bolts and extra CV joint bolts

To that i would add:
10, 11, and 13 mm sockets and open end wrenchs...seems you can do just about everything with those.
basic tools - screwdriver, pliers, etc.
safety wire
duct tape
Zip ties

This is standard stuff I bring to the track - plus a bunch of other things - so I have a tote with all of it together already.

In reality...you shoudl have not problems. Last year we had one guy with a bad bearing, and some bozo that broke his clutch cable first thing Friday morning that delayed the whole thing! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Since my bearings are all new, as are my clutch cable and accelerator cable, i probably wont source a new one to carry with, - no one mentioned dont forget the AAA card!! ( i have road side assitance with haggarty as well) i think i might want to reattach my heater flapper boxes too, i just thought about that- and oil gets changed this weekend .

- the windshield will get a coat of rainx too.,

OK I do t know about yours but my current car cover swallows my 914 whole with plenty of room to spare.

Microbead Car Covers has sent us one of their custom fit car covers. This thing has straps to keep if from blowing off, has a UV coating, is water resistant, and has a lifetime warranty!

Going to try it out on my car and get some pictures of it on a 914. This cover is valued at over $200. I think it would make a great prize for many of us!

Anyone up for one of these for your car?

As an update, Microbead carcovers has agreed to send a number of the covers to the event than can be purchased at a sizable discount.

If I registered to get you guys over a certain Plateau, would I be Eligible for Door Prises even if I can't attend?

Well because we are only having random drawings for a few prizes and all of the really cool stuff you have to enter for the drawing it would be hard to assign someone to manage your entries. Also we don't have a way to get your prizes to you. You may be able to have someone who is attending do everything for you and collect anything that you win but that would be up to Bob to decide.

Due to the massive amounts of cool stuff we got from our great sponsors I think you could be pretty sure that unless the Pope was your guy on site, there would be no prizes coming your way!

Hmm, next plateau is 80 registrants... we only need 9 more to reach that number... I may have to modify the registration form to allow adding that many extra but I could certainly do that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Of course, there is always the fine print:
must be present to win

So you might as well cancel whatever your other plans are and come on up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
