"Jeez" Bob, trying to scare me into driving my Civic? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Sorry to hear about Huey & hope you can get him back together in time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Nah, just messin' with you....you said cleaning "again"...we'll be lucky to clean "at all" We just beat on Huey pretty hard, and we had way too many events planned for him this month, just the way the calendar worked: Carolinas autocross, Rennfest rally and autocross, Dragn Hillclimb, another Carolinas autocross , Okteenerfest. All with only one week break in there back a few weeks ago! Heck, the Okteenerfest drive will be a breeze compared to the previous weekends!!

Hilllclimb is rough. high speed, very rough road - bounces you all over. Tough on equipment - 7-8 people put their cars ino the guardrails this weekend.

Video - see how rough?

The "extreme budget makeover" continues on 914 which will actually look like a Creamsicle this year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

My "restored" targa top. Couldn't find Dupli-color bed liner that results in a similar-to-original texture so ended up using Rustoleum bed liner. Coverage is nice. Has a sand texture. I am happy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Bumpers - lot of rust pitting and other blemishes on them but should look fine from 10 foot away (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Wow, hell of a ride. Congrats of 1st in class & I hope you get Huey back together for "the fest" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I could see trying that in my younger days, not knowing any better, but now I like drag racing better- it's easier on the body. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
As for cleaning Knikki, that's just about all I ever do to her- that & put put round the neighborhood. I have my six for actual driving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Steve- top looks sharp (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Still think sodablasting is the way to go on your wheels. I have an extra set of AA side stripes I'm bringing along... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Thanks. And I agree on the wheels. Going to look into that but probably not before Okteenerfest.
re: Stripes... I have a set from Bowlsby. Not sure if they are originals or not (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Going to save those for... later?
I am going to have a set of custom side stripes done... the purist will be aghast but others may like the concept (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I have Bowlsbys stripes on Knikki now- right color, right font, right cut & right spacing. As for being aghast I'm a hypocrite... I have my own special plans for my six (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

I am so ready for this event! This is likely an event that is history in the making. Not too late to be a part of it!

If I don't get rid of all of these sponsor items soon I am going to start putting them on my car.

Speaking of more registrants....

We are going to have to set a limit on the number of registrants at 80 people because that's what the restaurant limit is. No exceptions.... Right now, we are at 77, so 3 more is it.

And due to the fact that we have to give final numbers for dinners and such by Saturday, registration will close on Friday...so...80 people or Friday, whichever comes first!!

If you've been procrastinating, GET REGISTERED NOW!! Only 3 spots left!!

And that spot may be filled. We had one drop due to work conflicts and one or two more added... maybe. Or they may be on the list already and I just need to update the 914 they are bringing. Will know for sure shortly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

OK, after making some updates, we are at 78 registrants and 49+ 914s. I add the + because there are some who say they may bring more than one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
